Petra is a beautiful and aloof pup who has a mellow and relaxed disposition...unless she spots a squirrel or a cookie on the counter. We have been working hard at walking her frequently and being attentive to her food intake because she’s a little overweight. When she goes on walks she likes to sniff around and moves at a leisurely pace. She does really want to chase squirrels -as so many dogs do, so having a younger child walk 100 pound dog like her would not have the best situational outcome. She likes playing with chew toys, can be out of her kennel all day without getting into or damaging anything unless it’s food on the counter. She’s quiet and hardly ever barks. One thing to note is that the few interactions that we’ve seen her in with other dogs, she wants to dominate. Slow introductions will be called for in her case.
Cats are a no, kids who understand boundaries would be fine.
