Hi I'm Ben and I have quite a story to tell. I was literally taken out of the flood waters of Hurricane Harvey. I'm really lucky to be alive! I was flea infested and had obviously not been cared for. I was held for 30 days in Texas but no one ever came looking for me. Being unwanted hasn't affected me though, I LOVE people! When I went to the pet store for a bath I introduced myself to everyone I possibly could. I lost a lot of hair due to flea dermatitis but now its growing back in and I am becoming quite a handsome boy. I am dog friendly but my favorite thing is just being with humans. I would so love my own family and the feeling of being wanted for the rest of my life. Life has been hard for me but I haven't let it affect my outlook. I love going out for walks. I have moderate energy and am crate trained. I get pretty jazzed when I see cats so a no cat home is probably best. I have not yet been evaluated with young children.




Ben is a 2 year old rottie mix. He was found IN THE WATER during Hurricane Harvey. . Ben was treated for heartworm and is now microfilaria negative.
