Adopt a Hound / Mixed (short coat)
Lyla the Dog needs a home
Happiness starts with a wet nose, and ends with a tail. I mean come on how can you say no to these big chocolate eyes of mine. My name's Lyla, and it's such a pleasure to meet you. In fact, I can't wait to start on this journey with you! All the places we'll go and the things we'll see, though I'm sure my favorite will be the time I share with you at my new forever home. I'm a very people friendly gal, and just love everyone I meet even the kiddos. In fact, I get pretty excited new I see new people, and I think the proper way to greet them is by jumping up on them. In addition, I also tend to randomly come up and lightly nibble on peoples fingers when I pass by. Though I tend to settle down rather quickly, and the jumping problem is something that can easily be worked on and corrected. I'm still on the young side and absolutely love to run around and play, and when I really get into it, I'll start baying. So if I could find someone would take me on a jog or even walk around town on a regular basis, you would have one happy gal on your hands (though we'll need to work on leash manners). If not I would be perfectly fine being able to be outside for a few hours a day where I can run, play with balls and soft toys (though I like to chew them up), adventure around, and just be my rambunctious spunky self. Though you'll have to watch me at first because I might be able to jump over a four foot fence. I was mostly an inside dog in my previous home, and was housetrained for the most part and would only have accidents in the carpeted areas of the house. So I'm sure with a little more time and training I can become fully housetrained. I was crated for long periods of time while my family was away, which caused me to start having some anxiety problems towards the end. So as a result, I'm not sure that trying to crate me in my next home would be in my best interest. I've interacted with a few dogs here at CHHS, and am still unsure about them. I would rather be the only one soaking up all of my humans love and attention, but if you have other pups at home bring them up so we can see if we'll get along. When tested with the house cat here at CHHS, I chased him but as soon as he puffed up I stopped. So if you are wanting to add a gorgeous, affectionate, goofy, high spirited gal to your life than please come on down and meet with me today!
