How did I get to No Dog Left Behind: Found as a stray. Living in an abandoned barn with another dog.

Hobbies: Laying around and being spoiled rotten.

Commands/Tricks: Sit Down Stay and she will dance for treats and loves to run to whomever will spoil her rotten!

Crate/Potty Trained: Yes           

Activity Level: Low to Medium but being so small she doesn’t need a heck of a lot of space.

Fun things I do: Dance! And run to jump up on the couch or bed and usually higher then needed!

Socialization/who I currently live with: Two large lazy dogs, two teenagers and a mom and a dad!

Maggie is what we, her fosters, are calling her. Formerly known as Loretta. She was picked up by the police because she was a stray living in a barn with another dog. That other dog was a short hair pitty looking pup that was in fairly decent shape. However Maggie as you can see was not. She was taken in by NDLB and taken right to the vet to be vetted and had all her shaved off. She was not a peppy little pup right away! Would you have been? Her ears were cleaned as well. Then she was brought to us for fostering. She needed to be spayed still and needed a dental cleaning as well. She was ok with most things but still had a bit of an attitude with the other dogs and did not like to be picked up sometimes. After 3 weeks of constant ear cleaning, scab cleaning, getting healed up from her spay, and time to gain some weight she is now a peepy little happy goofy little dog! Her mom and sisters love the little dogs! Most of the time! J Dad however prefers the big dogs over 50# However Maggie has a darn good personality and will hang out with him when the others are off at school so she has kinda grown on him! For a little dog LoL! I am sure that if you are reading this you already think she is pretty cool by her photos! Well you need to meet her! She is pretty much the “just right” little dog! Not too hyper, not too snippy, and just enough friendly to warm your heart too! Let us know ASAP as she won’t be available for long! As far as her breed her fosters think she has some dachshund mixed in with some other non-shedding little dog breed! What do you think? Contact us and let us know!
