DOG'S DESCRIPTION
This boy is a real sweetheart. He’s had some tough times in his past, and has the scars to show it. But whatever happened to him before has not put a damper on his love for people. This guy deserves a home where he can live out his golden years with love, companionship, and a comfy bed. He's calm and well-behaved. He’s quiet and would well in any home setting. He is house-trained, crate trained, and sleeps quietly through the night. His hobbies including sleeping, snuggling, eating, napping, belly-rubs, and meandering around outside to sniff stuff. He does well with bigger dogs and bigger kids (10+), but gets a little too excited about small, fast-moving things, so a home with no kitties, tiny dogs, or tiny kiddos would be best. He came to us with heartworms but has been treated and is all ready for adoption. Won't you make the difference in this sweet dog's life by giving him a loving home?

Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (for dogs over 6 months old), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.
