Robbie the Dog needs a home

Robbie would be the perfect dog for an active adult or older children home (he is not tolerant of small children). He LOVES to go for walks, on or off leash. 

Robbie is a happy guy. He plays hard with the big dogs at the rescue and he is satisfied to play independently. 


Robbie needs reinforcement on his house manners. He gets a little lazy and he needs someone to remind him that being lazy with house manners is not acceptable.

We are so surprised that Robbie is still with us. His whole litter are in homes with their family, and Robbie is still waiting. 

If you'd like a dog and you don't have a ton of time for a dog, Robbie may be the dog for your family. He just needs some consistent attention until he gets his manners in line and then he'll be good with some walks, a yard, and weekend hikes.

All Orphan Dogs are fostered in private homes by volunteers who graciously take time from work and home life to care for our orphans. We do not have a facility, and most dogs are transported to our scheduled Adoption Events! 



Our van is limited on space and because of this sometimes dogs will get time off if the van is overfull. Other arrangements may be made for meeting a dog the dog if circumstances prevent you from being able to make it to events. Remember again though, that volunteers foster dogs in their spare time so we encourage you to try to attend the events. 







If you are local to Lake County, we do make arrangements to meet dogs here in town. However, please remember that most of our dogs have been in our shelters for weeks before we pull them. We take the dogs that have not been adopted yet. If you visit the shelter, you'll get the dog before I do!
