Adopt a Domestic Short Hair (short coat)
Snowy the Cat needs a home
"Snowy" should be the "Poster Kitty" for reasons NOT to declaw (amputate toes). Based on the vet records, "Snowy" was declawed end of Sept. 2017 by another Vet, About 1 week later, the Owner brought "Snowy" to our Vet and requested that they euthanize "Snowy" because "she did not get along with their existing cat in their home." Our Vet contacted CPA and we agreed to take her into our program to save her life. Turns out her amputated toes were infected from where the owner had not kept her on the special litter long enough after the surgery, so the wounds got clumping litter caked inside and the toes became infected. It is totally understandable for a new kitty to NOT be happy with the existing kitty due to the new home AND her painful / infected toes.
"Snowy" is such a sweetheart, very affectionate...with a very loud purr! "Snowy's" amputated toes are still VERY tender, she still carries a foot as if it still is very tender. The Vet said that she may always need pain meds and is more susceptible to arthritis because of her amputations. Sh
e is ready to find her very own INDOOR FOREVER Home, with a special person who understands and appreciates what "Snowy" has been thru and willing to help her recover.
Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip, test for feline leukemia, de-worming, de-fleaing, etc.
