RESCUING MAYDAY

Mayday was picked up as a stray in Fulton County. Upon her arrival to the shelter, the Animal Control officer pointed her out to the staff saying she may be the best dog in the world. She immediately climbed into the employees lap and she quickly became a volunteer favorite. There is nothing wrong with Mayday. She is just a black pit bull, a happy, seemingly healthy girl who ran out of time at the shelter. She ended up on the urgent list and we happened to have a spot for her. 

ABOUT MAYDAY

Mayday is pure puppy energy with a sweet disposition. She is very people-oriented and really enjoys snuggling on the couch, but her specialty is giving hugs. Her hugs are the best! She likes to chase her doggie foster-brothers around the yard, but has not quite figured out the game of fetch yet. She will chase the ball, but when she gets to it she just looks at it and walks away. Mayday listens very well to her humans and knows how to sit and wait in her crate when its meal time. She has also learned the word No and how to use a doggie-door. This girl is food-motivated so she is quickly picking up on basic commands. Mayday really enjoys going for walks. She pulls a bit at first, but once she gets in the groove, she walks great. At adoption events, Mayday pleads with every passer-by to stop and give her a little snuggle. She is actually quite successful at charming the crowd into letting her lean into them for a quick snuggle.

Mayday is playful with other dogs and would love a doggie-friend as long as she gets to be the leader. She would also do well with children as long as her family is consistent about setting the rules and not allowing her to jump. She loves giving hugs so much! She tries hard to remember not to jump up so she sits for attention while her front feet are tap dancing out of happiness. Mayday would make a fantastic companion for a family that is looking for a happy, fun-loving, extremely sweet companion.

Our adoption fee is $250. All dogs are current on vaccinations, spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, on heartworm prevention, and are fed top of the line grain-free food.
