Moxy originally turned up on a Good Samaritans front porch covered in fleas, ticks, and she had a large growth on her back left hip. After countless efforts to find her owners, the Good Samaritan decided to give Moxy a chance to find a forever family. Moxy has had that growth removed and is now fully vetted. She is house-broken and although Moxy does not do well in a crate, she is not destructive when left out in the house. She is a very smart lady with some professional training under her belt! She already knows sit, down, stay wait, heel, place, and fetch. This athletic girl adores tennis balls and loves a good game of fetch. Moxy has lived with cats and she was fine with the dog-savvy kitty, but cats that run will elicit a chase response. Moxy has lived with another dog, however she is picky about her doggie friends. She does not share and will guard resources from other dogs so she would do best as an only dog. She will gladly share with her people though! Moxy walks well on a leash and is trained on a remote collar. She loves to please her people and is happier with human guidance. She would love a family where she could be the only dog that will give her the love and boundaries she thrives on.
