Lincoln the Dog needs a home
When I first got Lincoln a year ago I had no idea what his life would be like. I had gotten a call about two special needs puppies needing fostering through a rescue. Their diagnosis was unknown and their condition was pretty devastating. Seth and Lincoln came to me as 8 week old pups with severe cognitive disabilities. We unfortunately had to put Seth down within the first week. His organs were shutting down and we decided it was best to end his suffering. At that point I made the choice to keep Lincoln under my care indefinitely. Lincoln’s disorder is that of a drunken sailor. He had difficulty walking and potty training. With extensive therapy methods his walking improved and I’m happy to say he is 90% potty trained. Some of his therapy has been VOM treatment and bi weekly chiropractor appointments. Lincoln has improved so much I feel confident he would thrive in a home other than ours. There’s so much more to Lincoln other than his disabilities. He loves to play with other dogs. He LOVES children and the hugs that come with them. He is a food obsessed pitty which he’s learned from his hound brothers. He is great off leash due to the fact that collars cause him to have mini seizures. He thinks cats are great siblings and gets along great with them. We are in search for the perfect owner who can love this lovable guy but also continue therapy work with him. This will be part of the contract on adoption.
