Orion the Dog needs a home
UPDATE:
Orion (Ori) as his foster moms call him, is an adorable 11 year old male doxie. He is getting healthy however he is recovering with a bout of pneumonia. He is progressing everyday. Ori is a bit bigger than a tweenie, with red, light brown and dark brown markings. His retinas are detached but we believe he can distinguish light. Therefore, Orion is blind but his sense of smell and hearing lets him function like a member of his foster pack. He loves a lot of positive reinforcement, is a great dog. He is getting used to his foster siblings. He seems to be a happy guy and does come when you call his name. Ori is using the doggie door now. Ori loves to lay on a pillow in the kitchen or watch TV with his foster moms.
Orion would make a great addition to a family with older adults
Orion (Orrey) as his foster moms call him, is an 11 year old male doxie. Orrey is healthy but has allergies which benadryl remedies. Orion is a small standard with red, light brown and dark brown markings. His retinas are detached but we believe he can distinguish light, but is blind. He Loves a lot of positive reinforcement, is a great dog and is getting used to his foster siblings. Right now Orion needs to be carried outside to go potty but finds his way around the yard. Foster moms are working with him to navigate the front and going up and down the ramp. He seems to be a happy guy and does come when you call his name. When the weather warms his foster moms will work with him on using the doggie door. Orrey loves to lay on a pillow in the kitchen or on the big bed with a cover in the bedroom.
