Dixie the Cat needs a home

Dixie is a very sweet, but very shy cat. It took her a few days before she would come out of her room, and when she was presented with any kind of unusual situation, she will run back to her safe place. She is a long haired kitty and will need brushing quite often, but loves to have this done. She likes to chase after her feather toy, and probably would like many other kinds of stimulation. She seems to tolerate other cats and does not hiss at them. I think she needs a fairly quiet home where she can feel safe and loved, probably with no children or noisy dogs.
