RESCUING CELINA

Unfortunately, Celinas past was not a fairytale story. We were told that she belonged to a family whose home burnt down and she was given to another family. Celina never received any vet care or proper nutrition. She ended up pregnant and the family was unaware that she was expecting, until she gave birth to 15 puppies in July 2013. The family contacted Friends to the Forlorn for help and we took Celina and her 12 surviving pups into the rescue and placed her in a foster home. Since this was a large litter we wanted to assist the mom with feeding and provide a safe environment for the large family. Celina was a wonderful mom to all of her pups. The pups all stayed with her until they were adopted. Celina had one more uphill battle as she tested positive for heartworms.  She underwent treatment and is now heartworm negative. All 12 of her pups were fully vetted and have been adopted by wonderful families, but Celina is still patiently waiting for a family to call her own.

ABOUT CELINA

Celina is a beautiful snow white lady with a few large blue patches. Her big, beautiful smile will melt your heart! She is a big, sweet baby that will be sure to entertain and cuddle with you for hours.  She will throw her Wubba toy up in the air to play. She loves to lay out in the sun, go for car rides, and gives lots of kisses. Celina is an easy going, low maintenance dog. She is crate trained, housebroken and knows how to use a doggie door. She currently has a fenced in backyard and we would prefer this, but this is not required as long as she is safely and securely walked.  She is in a foster home with multiple dogs, but would do best in a home with no other dogs or one male dog her size to play with. Celina is also good with cats! She has been around children and plays wonderfully with them. She loves to be with people: wherever you are, she is there with you. She makes the perfect sleeping partner and enjoys sharing a king size bed with her foster parents. She is a great car-rider and will proudly sit in the front see to watch the scenery go by. She enjoys walks at the park and visiting the pet stores as she walks well on a leash. Celina is a very special girl to our rescue and has been waiting for a forever home for over a year. Could your family possibly be her new forever home?

Our adoption fee is $250. All dogs are current on vaccinations, spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, on heartworm prevention, and are fed top of the line grain-free food.
