DOG'S DESCRIPTION

Look at this sweet face! Blaze was found as a stray and taken to a shelter where his time was running out. We stepped in and scooped him up and now he is safe with us! Blaze likes to tell you how he feels by showing his howling expertese so would probably not do well with apartment living. Blaze is a great boy who deserves a second chance at a happy life!

Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.           

Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (for dogs over 6 months old), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.
