Callie is a female boxer/pitbull/lab mix, about 6-7 years old. She is spayed and current on all of her shots. She plays and behaves very well with male dogs of all sizes and breeds, but has been known to get into scraps with other females- especially those closer to her size. She has never spent any time around children. While Callie is extremely sweet and loving, she is very wary of strangers, and has been known to lash out if feeling threatened. She is uncomfortable around new people, and more often than not would prefer to spend time in a corner staring at the stranger, rather than attempt to visit. She does, however, warm up to people after several encounters. She is more accepting of women than men, and tends to fear men with facial hair and/or glasses. Once she warms up to you, she is nothing but a giant lovebug. At a solid 60 pounds, she firmly believes she is a lapdog and will do her best to prove it. Outside, Callie turns into a puppy again. She loves to run and play with other dogs, and loves being taken on long runs. She is well behaved on a leash, and is often taken out for a run alongside a bicycle or rollerblades.
