Dachshund / Mixed (short coat) Dog

Juliet the Dog needs a home

Heartworm Prevention is given on the 12th of each month

Juliet is a very sweet, affectionate, and gentle dog.  She has been friendly from the time we first started fostering her--she wanted to be petted and just have affection shown to her. After her heart-worm treatment she has become more active.  She has a beautiful reddish-gold coat that needs a little brushing. When approached, she will rollover to have her chest rubbed.  She likes walking however, she has her La La Land moments when she stops, stands still, looks off in the distance, and shifts the air.  She eats well and is not finicky about food. We would like to see her not eat so fast but this may be learned behavior. So far, she has not shown any interest in playing with toys or balls.  She likes to be around people--while having heart-worm treatment, we would leave the radio or TV on so she could hear people's voices and music.  She has not attempted to chew on furniture, shoes, or items on the floor. She is very bonded to Romeo and likes to be able to see him.  She does not jump up on people.  She does well with the other dogs in the house.  She has not been exposed to cats or children.
