Pinnocle the Cat needs a home
Handsome, Playful, Sweet Meet Pinnocle, a truly remarkable young kitty, who after a rough start at life finally lives up to his name. For he has reached his "most successful point" (though Pinnocle spells it differently, the meaning is the same). He is also affectionately known by his foster mama as "Shin-Ah", which means "Person of the Moonlight"; this poetic name fit him when he first came to APA!, but now no longer suits his personality, for he shines so much brighter than the moon! When Pinnocle first joined his foster family with his brother and sister, he was a terrified kitten. Together they had survived the horrors of Hurricane Harvey, and were rescued from the devastation of Houston in the nick of time by APA! Pinnocle had every right to be terrified of life, of humans, of storms, of everything but his own kin. It took a bit of patience and a WHOLE lotta love from his foster family to make this little guy start to trust those around him. In just a couple months Pinnocle was already beginning to change! He had a brief bout with ringworm, leaving his coat dull, with some missing fur - and he was so skinny! But now he has filled out and grown back his sleek black fur, conquering ringworm along the way. And even better, his fear of humans is gone! He didn't just fall in love with his foster mama, he fell in love with the rest of his new family as well, including a feline sister, a feline brother (whom he adores), and three German Shepherds. They all became his dear family! Previously, he would run away at the smallest of movements - but now, he cuddles like an absolute champion. He is his foster mama's constant shadow, and her handsome chest warmer when it is bedtime. He is so full of love and purrs and happiness. You would never have guessed that the scared survivor would blossom into such a magnificent, fearless boy! His heart is wide open, just waiting for someone to love him forever. Pinnocle and his brother, Oliver, are a family unit and need to be adopted together. The brotherly bond these two have is truly undeniable. They love each other, care for each other, groom each other, and comfort each other like no other cats their foster family has ever seen. To see more about Oliver, read here - https://www.austinpetsalive.org/adopt/available-cat-details/?ID=52195 Once, Pinnocle was having a bad dream. He was twitching and growling (in a cute way) and instantly Oliver jumped onto his foster mama's bed, went over to his brother, licked his cheek, and then laid down next to him. In that moment, Pinnocle's dream no longer scared him -- because his brother, Oliver, was right there beside him. As mentioned, Pinnocle is cat- and dog-friendly. He loves to cuddle with the resident dogs and the resident cat (and his people, as well!). This little guy truly has such a HUGE heart with so much love and devotion to give. Just look into those handsome eyes of his! All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
