Adopt a Basset Hound / Terrier / Mixed (short coat)
Carson the Dog needs a home
Foster Update:
Carson
loves to be held and snuggled. He has to be the sweetest dog I've ever met!!! He's house trained, has really good Manners and loves to SNUGGLE.
He sleeps through the night on his dog bed and enjoys playing outside. Carson would do best in a home with another dog. He truly is just the sweetest boy!
Meet Carson, an adorable, approximately 4 month old Basset/Terrier who currently weighs 18 pounds (as of 1/3). While breed is a best guess, his mix definitely includes a "low-riding breed!" Carson has your typical puppy energy, playfulness and curiosity. He is good with other dogs, all people and young enough to learn about cats. Because he is a baby, he'll require an adopter who is home a good part of the day to continue his training - no exceptions! He is up-to-date on age appropriate vaccines and preventatives and will need to be neutered at the age of 6 months.
Please note, this pup's immune system will not be fully functioning until about 16 weeks of age and therefore, s/he is not suited for Apartment/Condo living or Town-homes without a private fenced yard and will not be able to go to public places where s/he could possibly be exposed to the germs of unvaccinated dogs, such as PetSmart/PetCo and dog parks until s/he is 16 weeks old.
The adoption fee for this dog is $350, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. This fee DOES NOT INCLUDE spay/neuter if the pup is not already spayed/neutered. If the animal you are adopting is not already spayed/neutered, you will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered. ***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs....all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many!
***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies ) , spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.***
