Grace is a pretty pit who was rescued by her current owners from being euthanized when she was adopted at 9 months old. Grace is now 18 months old, and she has been happy in her new home ever since then. She most enjoys playing outside and running around the yard. She loves playing with her toy rope, loves playing with water, and loves to keep an eye on what is happening in the neighborhood. Grace would thrive in a home with lots of land to run freely in. After playing around, Grace loves relaxing on a comfortable bed of blankets. Grace displays her love and affection for her owner by excitedly bringing her toy over to her owner to play, or running around happily. Grace would do better in a home without other dogs, as she displays signs of dog anxiety when around other dogs. Grace is neutered. She is a very smart, friendly, happy dog. We hope to find her a home that would continue the loving bond that she has with her owners.
This dog requires lots of mental or physical stimulation as well as an active lifestyle to be happy. Her intelligence and energy need to be channeled or she will create her own outlet for them. She can be very focused on a task but can be distracted with a little bit of effort. She likes some order and a fairly regular routine. She is no coward, but takes a moment to assess new people and places before rushing headlong in. A little bit of caution is a good thing! Many people may call her aloof, but she is just not the touchy-feely type of dog. She is happy knowing the people she loves are near. She doesn't need to do all that licking and begging for attention like some other dogs out there!
