Adopt a Jack Russell Terrier (short coat)

This adorable little guy’s name is Remy.  He’s a Jack Russel Terrier, estimated to be about 3 1/2 years old and 16 pounds.  He’s a happy-go-lucky boy, loves to cuddle and play wrestle with his people.  His favorite things to do are to chew on his dog toys, sunbathe on good weather days and roll in the warm grass.

Remy is great with all adults and older children, but does get very anxious around small children.  He gets a little spunky around cats, but he lives with one, so as long as a cat in his future can tolerate a little play, he’d be fine.  Remy likes to cuddle with his people often on the couch, but when it comes to beauty rest, Remy doesn’t mess around.  He doesn’t like to be touched, moved or disturbed while sleeping or he gets rather cranky.  His most adorable habits are sneaking up to his family for cuddles and stealing pieces of popcorn.  He can’t get enough of movie night; he’ll lay in a lap like a baby and just soak it all in.

Remy loves to get a good scratch.  He will often roll over in front of his family’s feet so that they must love on him.  He really enjoys going to the dog park or having a wide open space to romp around in, but taking leash walks has never been his favorite activity.  He does well meeting new people and getting attention and everyone loves to play with him because he’s so cute and friendly.  He likes just being with people and is usually the life of the party. 

He is an absolute joy to have around and with that said, he’d rather have someone around than spend the days alone at home, however he is currently accustomed to his family being away for a standard work day.  Remy is a laid back guy with a couple of little terrier traits, such as chewing up an occasional lost Lego and sneaking into the bed.
