Adopt a Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie / Miniature Schnauzer / Mixed (medium coat)
Barnaby the Dog needs a home
BARNABY is a heartworm negative, 6-1/2 year old, 10 lbs, neutered, chocolate-colored miniature schnauzer / yorkie mix. He is a cute little button with a spunky personality!
BARNABY collects toys and tug-o'-war is his favorite game. He prefers to sleep on a doggie bed (or on the bed with you). He has a doggie bed in an open (no door), medium-sized travel kennel that he go into when he wants alone time. He enjoys daily walks or running around the back yard and rolling in the warm grass.
BARNABY likes to lay next to you or be picked up to cuddle; belly scratches are the best. He would enjoy being an only pet; however, he would be okay with a companion with proper introductions. He believes he is a home protector and will bark at anyone that comes to the door.
BARNABY needs time to get used to a new environment. He has shown food/toy aggression and would not do well around small children. He does not like to be in a closed kennel.
BARNABY was found on a main street in a suburb to the north west of Houston. He was dodging traffic and chased into a neighborhood for his own safety. With a lot of time and patience, he was finally leashed and taken to a foster home.
