All dogs with PUP are in private foster homes so we can provide our potential adopters the most current information available.



Health: Sam has been neutered and microchipped. He is current on his DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies. He has been wormed, flea treated, and tested negative for heartworm.

History: Sam is an owner surrender. PUP was asked to help and we are so glad we did. 

Notes from Sam's Foster Home:

Sam is what we like to refer to as a “cop dog”. He makes sure everyone tows the line. Much like Meka, our rescue’s mascot does. With dogs like Sam and Meka, if you’re not going to keep order, they are going to help you. This is great for an owner that understands dog behavior and what dogs need. Not so great for the more timid or less secure dog owner. He enjoys chasing and racing around the yard with his dog buddies and also enjoys being next to you. He is affectionate to his people and enjoys that affection in return. Sam also enjoys walks, riding in the car, and playing with his toys. He’s not a big fan of getting his nails clipped. Sam is super smart and we think he knows we know it. We want to find Sam a home where he can continue to learn about new things and activities. A new mountain to hike? Sam is your dog. Don’t let his little size fool you. He’ll take that mountain. There is no trail this pup can’t hike! He might enjoy the occasional lap and movie, but this boy wants to be outdoors with you!
 

Note: The above description reflects the behavior we have observed in the dog's foster home. Although PUP provides adopters up to the minute information on our dogs, we cannot guarantee they will behave in the same manner in a different environment with new owners.
