Diesel the Dog needs a home

Diesel is a medical miracle and one of the sweetest dogs we have had the pleasure to save. This soulful and loving goof ball is about 4 years old and looks like a hound dog.  When we saved him from the shelter this loving and friendly guy was severely underweight and when brought to our vet was diagnosed with IMT-which stands for Immune Mediated Thrombocytopenia. This is a disorder of the blood platelets and abnormal functioning of the platelets. The great news is that Diesel is not only doing great but he is thriving! He has gained 12 pounds, responds well to his medication and has energy to play! Diesel’s favorite things are food, playing with toys and snuggling people.  He is sweet and gentle with everyone he meets and is clearly the most resilient dog. He will do well in a home without other dogs as he should not rough house based on his condition and risk of bleeding. We know there is someone out there that can give him the love and care that he deserves.
