Adopt a Bernese Mountain Dog / Poodle (unknown type) / Mixed

SPECIAL NEEDS // MOBILITY

Cheeto is a lovable 2.5 year old female Bernedoodle (hypo-allergenic Bernese Mountain Dog/Poodle mix) who is looking for a special family to love her and take care of her. She gets along with everyone--people and other dogs--and is super friendly and affectionate. Cheeto was born breech and lost her left paw, and her right hind leg has had operations to repair torn ligaments. She is without a lot of use of her back legs, but she can walk on grass a bit awkwardly and move with the help of mats or rugs. She also gets around great in her cart. Cheeto is living in a home with a woman who is not able to lift her easily to go in and outside to potty (Cheeto weighs 45 lbs) and the home has stairs. We are looking for a loving forever family for her that is better suited to meet her needs.

About her medical condition: She has had extensive veterinary care and our understanding is this is a mobility condition that will need to be managed. She can use her cart outside the home but for daily activity and potty breaks she often will need to be carried. She cannot be in her cart for extended periods of time or her underbelly gets sores. She is not on medication. 

Her ideal home and family: Requires adults who are able to easily carry 45 lbs, preferably with other friendly dogs and/or kids, and no hard floors or primarily rug covered floors. Also minimal stairs are preferred. 

Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $250 which is a donation to Dog Gone Seattle. Cheeto is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and healthy aside from her mobility issues. Her adoption fee is a donation to Dog Gone Seattle rescue, a 501c3 organization dedicated to saving dogs in need.
