Adopt a Catahoula Leopard Dog / Retriever / Mixed (short coat)

Beauty is a spunky little sprite that loves to play with her older foster sister, Wren.  There are no strangers in her world, or strange dogs.  She truly loves everyone and everything she meets. Beauty is very intelligent, and loves humans of any size.  She loves to go for walks and explore, loves to eat and loves her treats and toys.  Beauty is also very good about sharing her toys with others :)  



We think she would do well with kids or another dog in the home, since she loves to play and have a companion.

As with all young puppies, Beauty should not be left alone for more than 2-3 hrs at a time and is working hard on her potty training.  Part of our adoption contract is a promise to attend a puppy training class to ensure she has a great start learning the rules of life as a family member.  Are you ready to commit to training?  Do you have a heavy dose of patience?  Are you ready for puppy breath, cuddles, laughter and more?  Then perhaps Beauty is the girl for you :)  Please do your research on the Catahoula breed before applying.  They are an intelligent and active breed and require a committed owner.  Also, remember that any time you invest into your pup will be returned ten fold!  She truly is a special girl and we want to find the perfect home for her.

As a purely foster based rescue we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs, consequently we only honor meeting requests from pre-approved adopters.  Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can.  Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Adoption Fee is $400 which includes transport from Louisiana to Seattle, vetting/assessment (including spay/neuter), all shots and micro-chipping.
