Roscoe Brown the Dog needs a home
On a freezing cold December day, our little Roscoe Brown climbed the steps up to the porch of The Little Pantry That Could. Inside members of the homeless community were staying at the warming station that is opened on freezing days to provide shelter from the inclement weather. Roscoe, a tiny little skeleton of a puppy, peered in the glass door. It was like he somehow knew where he needed to go to get help. The director of the warming shelter immediately reached out to one of our volunteers and he was brought to our vet. He tested negative for all internal parasites and was a healthy boy. It body condition was a result of starvation. Roscoe doesn't let his rocky past temper his personality. He loves absolutely everyone he meets. In a short time he has gained back all his weight, has been vaccinated, microcipped, and neutered. He is now looking for his forever home.
