Adopt a German Shepherd Dog / Mixed (medium coat)

BEAN DIP ~3-4 years old.  Good with older considerate children and medium/large dog savvy cats.  Good for seniors/elderly.  Apartment appropriate.  Not good with small dogs.

Bean Dip is a sweet little guy. He has a wonderful easy going, take it or leave it outlook.on life. He enjoys affection from people but doesn't go out of his way to get it. Bean Dip is independent and intelligent, when asked to do something he looks at you like I'll be happy to do that for ya but what's in it for me? Bean Dip has wonderful house manners and picks up on boundaries quickly, however, being Mr. Smarty Pants, he will test and push them regularly. His physical energy needs can be easily met as he's pretty mellow, he will do well in a home where he's mentally challenged on a regular basis. He does not need a companion animal and would prefer to be an only dog. He's tolerant of other dogs but has shown no interest in playing with them. He does not appreciate high energy, bouncy, in your face let's play type dogs and small(er), wiggly, fluffy, cutesie dogs aren't his cup of tea either. Another dog in th e home would need to be calm and respectful of his space. Bean Dip tested well with a calm confident cat. A dog friendly/savvy cat could safely share a home with him. He will chase a lively or scared cat if given a chance but is easily redirected. A home with managing dog/cat interaction experience would be considered. Bean Dip is friendly with adults, men and women and older respectful children 5 and up. BD is house broken, crate trained, walks nicely on leash and has beautiful manners. He does OK on car rides just a little whining, not sure from what yet, but it seems to decrease with each trip. I think it's just a new thing to him and will become just another part of the good life that he'll get used to. His size makes Bean Dip very apartment. small home, in town, have dog will travel appropriate. Take him window shopping, out to eat, anywhere with you! He will go with the flow and just settle out and chill with ya!! Who's got the chips and wants to give the Bean Dip a try???
