Gus the Dog needs a home

Introducing Gus! He is so sweet but trying to adjust to a new way of life. We think he has been kept outside on a tether due to the scar around his neck and his front teeth have been worn down from chewing who knows what. He was recently treated for heart worm disease and is doing great with the recovery. Nevertheless he is sweet, gentle and doing well learning to be an inside dog. He is around 5-6 years old and about 43 lbs. So far he is being selective about other animals so just needs a human companion at this point. We think he is a shepherd with maybe some mallinois mixed in there. Apply to meet him today! 


Our hospital is open for adoption visitation Monday through Friday from 7:30 to 5:00pm and Saturday's from 8:00am to 11:00am.  If you have any questions please feel free to call us at             919-266-8177 or email [email protected].  All adoption fees are cash or check only, we do not accept credit cards for adoption fees.

Cat adoption fees are $50 for kittens under 16 weeks of age and $75 for kittens/cats over 16 weeks of age.  Dog adoption fees are $150 for puppies under 16 weeks of age and $175 for dogs over 16 weeks of age.
