Phil is a handsome beagle/dachshund mix looking for his forever family. He is quite the snuggle bug and bonded to us right away. When he’s not warming our laps he loves to follow us around and just be a part of things. Phil enjoys being outside and has adapted well to the Minnesota winter. He’s decided snow is fun to dig around in and quite tasty too! His little body does get cold, so extra cuddles are required upon his return. He also insists on sleeping in bed with us and burrows way down under the covers. I have two larger dogs that Phil has been great with. He likes to be part of the pack and join in on some play. He tends to be an attention hog so tolerant friends would be best. Although Phil is currently living with cats, I think he’d do best in a kitty free home. He’s a little too interested and has trouble leaving them alone. Like a typical velcro dog, Phil has some separation anxiety. He can be very noisy when left alone, so no shared walls please! He would love a place where someone is home a lot to keep him company. Phil came from a hoarding situation, so he isn’t fully potty trained. He’s making good progress, but will need an owner that is patient while he continues to learn. We make sure he goes out frequently, and using a belly band when he’s alone has been very helpful.
