Adopt a Black Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat)

Abbot the Dog needs a home
We welcome specific questions. Due to high volume of applications, we may not be able to respond immediately. Your patience is appreciated.
If an animal is on our website, it is still available but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, it is in your best interest to submit an application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process.
We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.
As an all-volunteer, foster home based organization, ARF does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we must give priority to pre-approved applicants.
Abbot is a super sweet, gentle, friendly, and very affectionate female one year old lab mix. She gets along well with men, women, children, cats and dogs. Abbot is playful and active but not hyper.
Abbot is scheduled for her spay on 2/26/18 and will not be at our adoption event on 2/24/18.
It seems like someone has treated her well. She is new to ARF, so not sure if she is fully house trained but seems well on the way. Abbot knows how to sit but does not know other commands yet.
Abbot
is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, and will be
spayed on 2/26/18
.
Her
new family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing.
Abbot
'
s adoption fee is $
300
.
A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you're interested in adopting
Abbot
fill out an online application today! http://arf-il.org/application.html Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting.
