Adopt a Pomeranian (long coat)

Pomeranian (long coat) Dog

Baby Ruth and Bruno the Dog needs a home

NEW INTAKE:   Baby Ruth and Bruno (BONDED PAIR) - female/male - DOB 2/14/2015 (siblings) - Baby Ruth 9.2 pounds;  Bruno 6.10 pounds - Pomeranians

Reason for intake:  Baby Ruth and Bruno came to us as owner-surrenders.  The family's lifestyle has become so inundated with work and outside schedules that they were only able to spend a few minutes a day with them.  They felt it was best for them to find a new home where they will get the attention they deserve.  These dogs were well-loved and cared for their entire lives... and it was a very heartbreaking decision for the family to make, but they knew it was the right thing to do... so please, no negative comments.  They originally came from a breeder in Korea and quite expensive from what we were told.  Bruno had luxating patella surgery when he was about a year old.  They both are spayed/neutered, UTD on vaccinations and heartworm negative.  They travel great in a vehicle, but no nothing about being on a leash (we will work a bit on that).  According to the family, they will eat anything that's dropped on the floor.  Bruno ate a figurine when he was younger, requiring surgery to remove it.... so, these little sweethearts are really no different than toddlers.  They are pad trained... but if allowed on carpet, they will go potty.  Keep this in mind BEFORE applying!  Bruno is outgoing and social.  Baby Ruth is standoffish and guarded at first.  She does tend to want to protect Bruno... by barking and lunging, but she stops when you go to pick her up.  It's all show.  Bruno has had a shave down and his hair is growing out some at this time so it is a bit uneven.  We will ONLY adopt them out as a PAIR.  The only way we would even consider splitting them up is IF we are not able to find them a home together.  We can't imagine that being the case.  Pomeranian LOVERS encouraged to apply.

More pics and a full write-up will be posted in the next few days.

Adoption fee $350 (for the pair), which includes microchipping and enrollment fee.

Only adopters with a responsible dog ownership history,  along with an excellent vet reference need apply.

**IMPORTANT NOTES**

*All of our adoptable dogs are small, and they are never to be left outside alone, ever!  We only rehome our dogs to adopters that plan to have them as inside dogs and part of the family!   We do allow adopters with doggie doors, provided there is SECURE fencing.  There is no exception to this rule!

*NO SMALL CHILDREN!!  As with almost all the dogs at NR2R, young children or a very active household is not recommended.   Many of our dogs come to us BECAUSE of small children, thus we do not rehome our dogs to homes with babies or young children.  Even if the children are older, it would depend on the child AND the parent or parents.

*We do not guarantee that any of our adoptable dogs are housetrained.   While most should be easily trained, keep in mind that they live in a rescue where they have access to the outdoors all day and are inside at night.  Even if they were surrendered to us as housetrained, it doesn’t mean they will automatically be housetrained in your home.  Housetraining them should be easy in the right home with time, patience, and consistency.

*Only adopters with a responsible dog ownership history and excellent vet reference need apply.   If you bring this pet into your heart and home, you will receive in return many years of love, companionship, and loyalty.  That’s our guarantee.
