Jessie A terrier mix adult the Dog needs a home
JESSIE
Jessie is a sweet 2.5 yr old Dachshund/Terrier or Dachshund-Minpin mix who was rescued on her last day in a high kill California shelter with her sister Trixie. She was an extremely emaciated and severely underweight. Jessie has gained weight and is a beautiful healthy happy girl now.
Jessie is still very shy and will need her new family or person to be patient with her. She really wants to be a lap dog, will excitedly greet you when you come home, but will not quite stand still for petting-yet. In time and in a more quiet, permanent loving home, Jessie will come out of her shell and be the most loyal BFF.
Jesse will need a fenced yard as we have been unable to leash train her for walking yet due to the shelter like environment.
Jessie is approximately 15 pounds,

sweet, playful, curious and ready for her forever home. She gets along well with other dogs her size, but especially males and would love a big male to get to know. she currently is close to my 70lb Shepard and is his shadow. (so adopting Jessie as a second dog so she can have a mentor would be nice or as an only dog, so she can really
bond
with her people.
Jessie loves to run in a big yard and since Dachshunds and Minpins tend to hold weight, exercise is as important as diet for keeping either fit and trim.
Jessie will make a wonderful addition to a home with all adults, retired couple, or a single person who is looking for a smaller dog and will have the patience to work with Jessie as she continues to blossom.
