Walter the Cat needs a home
Scrappy, Sweet, Good-Hearted Walter was a formidable fighter in his heyday...he has numerous battle scars and a ragtag ear to prove it. But, now he's more into head rubs, than rumbles, and he'll take a sunshiny window for napping over a street fight any day. Walter is shy with new humans and you may even see a bit of bravado when you first meet him. Underneath it all is a gentle, sweetheart who wants reassurance that it's okay to trust. Once he does, Walter enjoys being petted and will appreciatively purr to let you know how good your kind attention makes him feel. He enjoys chasing feather toys from time to time, but, overall he prefers lounging to being active. Walter recently had his teeth removed to resolve his stomatitis, which is an inflammation of the mouth. He's been a bit of a grouch as he adjusts, but we know for sure there's a docile cat lurking inside. In fact, he was a lap cat and a major cuddler before he was surrendered and we're told he was a big fan of tummy rubs too. We would love to see that happy cat emerge again! Walter would do best in a home with a patient, loving person who will give him the time he needs to feel comfortable and safe. When he realizes you're in this for keeps and that he's finally found his forever, this former tough guy will be a total pussycat! If you're ready to transform Walter's uncertain world into a happy, secure one, contact us to meet him today! All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
