Adopt a Treeing Walker Coonhound (short coat)
Autumn the Dog needs a home
Autumn
Autumn is a mellow Treeing Walker Coonhound female who found herself at the county shelter through no fault of her own. The shelter estimates her age to be 11. However, her foster mom thinks she is younger, maybe 8 to 10. She is able to jog two miles with her foster mom, but really she just prefers to sleep on the couch. She gets along fine with the male and female dogs in her foster home, but she would also be fine as an only dog. She has met cats and kids and has done fine with both. Autumn has valley fever, a common fungal infection here in the southwest, She has no symptoms, but the opinions of two veterinarians is that she should absolutely be treated. She will need to be on fluconazole for an undetermined amount of time. This medication is approximately $50.00 per month from our pharmacy. If you are interested in adopting Autumn, please go to our web site and fill out an application. The valley fever makes her a "special needs" adoption, which is a reduced ($50.00) adoption fee, since the adopter will be responsible for continuing with her medication. http://soazbeaglerescue.com/Adoption_Info.html
