Hi I'm Sam, I hope you've come to my profile to consider adding me to your family! I have dreamed for so, so long about being a part of a real family. I have not had an easy life, and my emotional scars show it sometimes. No one knows where I really came from or how I ended up in a high kill shelter, but I did. I came in with a couple of my dog friends who all got adopted very quick. I had many people come to "look at me", too. They'd stare into my cage and discuss me, ask why I was being so shy or why I wouldn't come up to greet them. The truth is I was just so scared. I was terrified in that shelter. I was kenneled with other dogs and I love other dogs, actually I'm happier and more comfortable when I have doggy friends around. I would never dream of growling or biting anyone, and I've heard my human friends say I'm the most gentle dog they've ever met. I'm still just trying to learn that I am safe, and that my new human friends are not going to hurt me. I love to be around other animals, love to be pet, and am learning it's ok to play and have a little fun. My friends think I would thrive in a sort-of quiet house with another dog, or even a few other dogs. Even a cat or 2 would be great, too. I dream of an easy, laid back life where someone will accept me for me, flaws and all. They say I am an incredibly gentle soul and just need the right family to love me, and I want to be loved so much.
