Adopt a Domestic Long Hair (long coat)
Beautiful Luna and Chia the Cat needs a home
Meet Luna and Chia, two beautiful long haired young female cats recently rescued from the streets of Brooklyn!
Choco-Chia and Luna were the last two remaining members of a small backyard colony. As all the other
Cats in their colony got adopted one by one, Choco-Chia and Luna patiently awaited their turn, but it never seemed to come. These two sweet and bonded girls remained outside for a while, until their care-taker noticed signs of distress: Luna, normally silent and timid, stood by the care-taker’s kitchen door one day and cried non-stop to alert that Choco-Chia was in trouble. As it
turned out, Choco-Chia got stuck in a neighbor’s garage
without food or water and could not find her way out. Luna led the care taker in the right direction so that Choco-Chia could be saved.
Then, shortly afterwards, Choco-Chia showed up to morning feeding with nearly half her face missing!( please see picture). A deep wound from an animal bite had created a huge gaping hole in her face. She was humanly trapped and brought to a vet for treatment. As Choco-Chia was healing inside, Luna was left outside all on her own and became target to other cats who wanted to take over her territory. She had to be brought in as well, and so shortly after she had joined Choco-Chia indoors.
Both Luna and Chia are up to date on shots, felv/fiv negative, and healthy. We strongly prefer that these two be adopted together as they are bonded to each other and still quite shy around people. But they are ready to adopt now, so contact us for details or to schedule a time to be won over by these beautiful girls!
