General the Dog needs a home
Meet The General! General is a 3 year old possible Mastiff/Chow or Lab/Chow mix who weighs 65 pounds. General lived outside in rural Georgia where a pack of dogs attacked him in his yard. As he was chained up, he was unable to defend himself and had to endure a brutal attack. At one point he broke free of his chain and in his horrific state managed to run to a nearby Dollar General Store where the staff notified authorities and he was taken to the local shelter. The shelter reached out to us and of course we rushed this poor boy immediately to our vet partner. He was in rough shape with gaping wounds all over his body but with the care and dedication of the doctors and vet staff General is already doing so much better. He is a very handsome boy who certainly has not deserved the hand he has been dealt so far. We can’t wait to find this handsome boy an amazing home where he never has to be chained up again and can experience all the unconditional love he has missed out on for so long. General is great with people of all ages and enjoys the company of other dogs that are either smaller or similar in size to him. He doesn’t seem bothered at all by the company of the office cat at the vet. He rides well in the car but will bark at passing cars. He is neutered and up to date on vaccines.
