Damien the Dog needs a home
BIG AND HANDSOME ALERT
ACCT Philly contacted us about Damien, a “terrier mix” that found his way to the shelter. He was terrified and they felt so bad for him, they were happy we were able to welcome him into NARPS!!!
We expected a 55 lbs terrier... but we picked up was this big, hunky 100+ lbs boy! We think Damien is an American Bulldog, he is about 3 years old. Damien has lived with other dogs and his foster momma loves how Damien attached himself to her handicapped son, he just wanted to be his whole world!??
Damien had a puppy sitter while his foster daddy was away, she said “I recently had the opportunity to care for Damien for 5 days while his foster dad was away. I am a dog sitter and have cared for all different dogs, and of all the dogs, Damien was one of, if not the best, dog I have the pleasure to care for. Not only did Damien easily adhere to commands, but he also was an extremely sweet and loving dog. He was easy to walk and care for, very low maintenance. He loves to gently play and cuddle! Damien may be big in size, but he is a loving and lovable puppy at heart.”
Damien hasn’t lived with any small children, but has met some on walks and did great with them! We have a feeling he would be amazing with any kids, but advise adopters to consider if a dog of this size would be good for their children. No kitties for Damien!!
It has also been reported that Damien is super smart and knows his commands both in English AND Spanish! How amazing is that!?
