Adopt a Yellow Labrador Retriever / Mixed (medium coat)
Buddy II the Dog needs a home
Everyone who meets this guy just automatically calls him "buddy".... He is super sweet and eager to learn and to please. We don't know anything about his life prior to now, but it seems he is more than willing and able to start his new life with a clean slate! While in foster care (the first week) he learned to walk nicely on leash, come when called, sit, wait calmly for meals, wait at the door, and more. He is crate trained and is learning how to be social with other dogs. He likes to travel in the car.
Buddy is a sweet good boy, but he will need an adopter who is dog-savvy; it takes him a little while to warm up to and trust new people and dogs. He needs a home without kids as they are unpredictable and make him nervous (also he may see them as playmates and that wouldn't go over well!) He is quite mellow and very pleasant to have around the house. He needs someone who can take the time to understand him, play catch with a ball, take walks, and continue his good-boy training. He is a beautiful sweet boy in need of a kind and benevolent leader!
If you feel your home might be the right place for such a great dog - the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt. Once submitted, the foster will contact you promptly to tell you more and to arrange a time to meet!
The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter.
Buddy is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster, not by DFWRM.
