Adopt a Domestic Short Hair (short coat)
Remi the Cat needs a home
Meet Remi! This handsome guy is about 6 years old. He has been a Tabby Town resident since June of 2016. Remi has a liver shunt this results in a condition called "hepatic encephalopathy" which is when a
shunted or damaged liver does not remove toxins and
harmful substances from
the blood, this unfiltered blood then travels to the brain where it can cause a lack of coordination, visual impairment and seizures. Remi has a wobbly walk and can be a bit unsteady on his feet, but other then that he is just like any other cat. Remi is a sweet and friendly boy. He likes to be petted and to give kisses. He likes to just hang out and relax. He also has his playful moments, he likes wand toys and string. Remi needs to be an indoor only cat. He would do best in a home without any small children. Remi is on lifetime daily medications and a special diet.
Because of his unique circumstances, Remi needs to be a special adoption by interview only. If you have questions or are interested in adoption, please stop by or call the shelter at (716) 822-4910 and ask to speak with the medical team who will be conducting his adoption process.
