Lentil is a smaller sized beagle. She is a very sweet dog who loves loves loves people, belly rubs, and any attention you will give her. At first she was very scared and shy staying in her crate until late at night then she would then only come out to eat. We have had her since before Xmas, and now she is like a different dog. She no longer wants to be in the crate, she wants to be with the family doing whatever we are doing. I have 4 kids at home, the youngest is 6. Lentil does very good with the kids even the 6 year old. She has never growled, barked, or tried to snap at her. Lentil lets her carry her around like a baby. Lentil doesn’t care for walking on a leash just yet but will go outside on it to potty if you carry her out. Maybe it’s the weather and she doesn’t like cold. But we are still working on it!
She does well with other small dogs and cats. We have 2 female dachshunds and 4 kitties. No problems with them at all. Larger dogs?? I don’t know. Lentil eats dry or wet food, she isn’t picky. Her shots are up to date and so is her flea pill, so no fleas. She is great lil dog and would make someone a great pet.
