Adopt a Yellow Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat)

Ringo the Dog needs a home
Hello … my name is Ringo and I am an AAMR Super Star!
Can anybody show a mutt some love? I have spent a lot of my life in foster care, and I am a really good guy. All I really want is to have a family to call my very own. I’m a mutt and I look like I probably have some yellow lab in the mix.
Here are some very important things you need to know about me …
Approximate age/birthdate: 2007

Housebroken: mostly
Crate trained: YES
Personality: happy, sweet, loving, playful

Obedience training: Knows ‘sit’ and listens well
Riding in vehicles: RIDES OK
Spayed/neutered: YES
Up-to-date on routine vaccinations: YES

Good with children: Will be ok with older children
Adoption fee: $75
Ringo is a sweet yellow lab mix boy and you will just melt when you look into those soulful brown eyes. He’s is a little reserved (probably due to not always being treated kindly) at first, but once he trusts you, he thinks he is a lap dog! He has so much love to give and just wants to be loved in return.
He has done well with housebreaking and crate-training and he loves to be close to his people.
Ringo plays well with most of his foster pup siblings. He has been picked on by a couple of them – he never starts anything but he will try to defend himself (as he should).
Typically lab, he really wants to make his people happy, and he seems to learn new things very quickly. He listens well and a new family using positive-reinforcement and rewards could probably get him to do just about anything!
Ringo has jumped a 4-foot fence and climbed a 6’ fence, so he will need a taller fence or possibly an electronic underground (invisible) fence. He’s also very creative and can figure out how to unlatch gates and pull apart fencing JUST enough to let himself out. When he’s out, he comes looking for his people! He is moderately energetic, but like all dogs, he needs to get adequate exercise daily to stay healthy and happy, so having a safe place to play is important. He would also be happy to go on long walks or runs every day with his new family. He needs to be an inside boy and play outside supervised with a family member.
If you think Ringo might be the perfect pup for you, please go to www.allamericanmuttrescue.org, click on Forms/Application and complete your adoption application online.
We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits. You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references. Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have 10 or more applications in process. We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.
When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if Ringo picks you too.
If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.
