Adopt a Hotot (short coat)
Mrs Lovett -NO KIDS the Rabbit needs a home
.
Mrs. Lovett is a beautiful Hotot rabbit. She is mostly white with black circles around her eyes. She was rescued from Calcasieu Parish Animal Control in Lake Charles, Louisiana. She is spayed, and her nails have been trimmed. She's a very sweet girl. Very curious. She likes being held but also loves having playtime as well. She would do best in a cage or a pen that you can get her out from the top. She does get a little territorial over her food and cage, but overall she's a very sweet girl and loves being petted on her face and ears. She is now available for adoption through Acadiana Humane Society. She needs a home with no small or young children. We will not adopt her to a home with kids.
FOOD: Rabbit Pellets, Timothy Hay, and fresh green leafy vegetables such as kale, romaine or butter lettuce, arugula, parsley, etc. Fresh fruits and berries make a great occasional treat.
Rabbits are a ten year or more commitment. We require an indoor home for rabbits. NO wire bottom cages as they can cause foot sores which require veterinarian care. Solid plastic bottom cages only. We use and recommend the recycled paper bedding, as the wood chips can cause respiratory issues.
Our rabbit adoption fee is $50.00. We accept cash, or a check made out to Acadiana Humane Society. If it doesn’t work out, we ask that you please return rabbit to Acadiana Humane Society. Thank you!
