Happy the Dog needs a home
Happy has been in and out of several homes since he was a tiny puppy. His first owner listed him on Craigslist. His third owner found him wearing the second owner's ID tags, but when contacted they said they did not want him anymore. Happy was surrendered to Emmy's Hope Rescue in January 2015. His third / last family was moving out of the country and could not take him.
Happy is good with cats and he likes to run and play outside with other little dogs his size. When playtime is over and he is called inside, he comes right away. He is very good about going back inside his kennel, in fact he considers it his safety zone. Happy enjoys being petted but does not really like to sit in your lap, he prefers sitting beside you. He will snap at young children, they make him very nervous. Little Happy has been waiting a long time to find his special family, the one that will love and keep him forever this time.

*** ADOPTION CRITERIA ***
YOU MUST:
1. Live in the Houston area (no more than an hour's drive away).
2. Be 21 years or older.
3. Have a fenced yard.
4. Have at least 2 years of good vet history, with current and / or past pets, including:
annual Rabies and DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvo, Parainfluenza) vaccinations, annual heart worm test and using a monthly heartworm preventative.
