Adopt a Calico (short coat)
Daffodil the Cat needs a home
Daffodil is an active, affectionate, beautifully-marked calico kitty. She loves to run and play in her kitty rescue room. She gets along very well with most of the other cats in her rescue room, but she would love to have a home of her own and a family to give her lots of attention and love.
Daffodil and her litter mates - Lilly, Astor, Rhodie, and Tulip - were born to an outside momma cat in early May, 2014. When they were about 4 weeks old, momma disappeared. The gentleman in whose yard the kittens were living called me, and the kittens came into my rescue, along with their poppa-cat, Leo. At the time, I also had a female kitty, Petunia, who'd just lost her litter. Petunia was very lonely and missing her babies, and as soon as she saw these 5 orphans she said, "Please let me care for them!" Petunia was a great mom and took wonderful care of the kittens.
Four of the kittens have been adopted, but Daffodil, as well as Petunia and Leo, are still waiting for their purr-fect families to invite them home. Daffodil still goes to her 'mom' Petunia for comfort and grooming, and it would be fantastic if they could be adopted together. But they both realize that might not be possible. In that case, Daffodil will be glad to 'move out' on her own.
Daffodil is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, feline leukemia negative, and ready for a fur-ever home. If you'd like to meet Daffodil and/or Petunia, or any of the other kitties in my rescue, please contact Eloise, 570-428-2179 or [email protected]. They would all love to meet you.
