Just look at this adorable squishy face! This is Rhonda, an incredibly sweet, solid black, Boxer mix. She's about 3-4 years old and 50 pounds. She is the most affectionate girl, always giving kisses to her people. She is ready to find a loving, forever family that will spoil her each and every day.
Being a complete love bug to people comes naturally to Rhonda, but she would prefer to be your only dog. She doesn't enjoy the company of other dogs and even with training and trying to get her acclimated to others, she still needs to be the only pup in the family. No dog parks or off leash community areas for this chick.
Rhonda is an active girl. She has great energy and needs a yard and a playful owner to hang out with. She is still perfecting her leash skills, but once she does, she would love to be someone's jogging buddy and would be an all-star at agility. She's quite impressive with her jumps, so she'll need a secure yard and tall fence because 4 feet is an easy leap for this girl. She needs daily exercise or she gets anxious and uneasy. With proper exercise and attention, this girl is a perfect companion.
The history that we have about Rhonda's life prior to rescue is that she spent a great deal of time crated and grew to hate spending that much time locked up. Her trainer has worked with her to get to the point where she is tolerant at best of being in a crate, but we are hoping to find a family that would allow her to be free in the house.
