Sophie the Dog needs a home
Meet Sophie, a friendly and engaging Basenji/Cattle Dog mix! Sophie is a Soi Dog rescued from the illegal dog meat trade in Southeast Asia by Soi Dog Foundation, our partner rescue based in Thailand. She and a group of her friends traveled from the SDF facility in Phuket and were flown stateside to The Barking Lot in November 2017. At very first meeting, Sophie was a bit shy when approached head on. However, after just a few minutes of getting to know her, Sophie showed her true outgoing, amiable, approachable and lovable self. Gaze into her sweet brown eyes, and she will hold eye contact with you and wag her tail in recognition. Sophie gets along well with other dogs and enjoys going on walks with volunteers. She is a great medium size of about 30 pounds. Sophie is a good girl and she would love a forever home to call her own!
