Adopt a Labrador Retriever / Weimaraner / Mixed (short coat)

Joey is a handsome 1 year-old Lab/Weimaraner mix male who was adopted from a shelter as a pup and returned recently because he was too big and strong for his elderly owners. He was terrified at the shelter and not adjusting well there so made the trip to Canine Lifeline so he would be able to relax in a foster home while finding himself a permanent new home. Joey is a very friendly dog but lacks confidence in new situations. He seems to be head shy so may have been mistreated in the past. He will need a home with a dog savvy owner who has the knowledge to work with a nervous dog. Joey gets along well with other dogs but can be protective of his food around them. He does well in a crate and is likely to be housetrained too. This boy has a lot of potential and is going to make a great companion for the right person or family. He weighs about 62 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped.
