Adopt a Poodle (Miniature) / Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier

Cotton is 4 years old and 16 lbs. He's part Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier mixed with a smaller breed- maybe Miniature Poodle or one of the Bichon breeds. He's mostly white, with yellow on his ears. He originally came to us after living with a homeless person. He was then adopted from here but didn't have success in that home, where he was the only pet.

His manners have improved a lot since he was returned to us, and he will be a great, devoted dog to the right person. He's responsive to his name and to commands. More training will help him do even better. He has a lot of energy, and the best home for him would be either as the only dog with an active owner, or in a home with another very active dog his size or smaller (he doesn't like bigger dogs as much). Cotton *loves* to play, and he plays hard! He can be overwhelming for less active dogs. He has helped organized a whole play group in our little dog exercise yard, and he and his friends race around together. His current pals are Burt, Beatle, and Rosebud.

He has been very well behaved in our house. Just be careful of him in the kitchen- he does like to see what he can get off the table! However, he responds well to training.

He is very affectionate and obedient with our volunteers, and loves to chase balls. When you sit down, he'll jump in your lap and roll over to have his tummy scratched. 

*House trained, though will need a refresher in his new home. Great on a leash, and does well when going for walks with other dogs. His favorite walking buddy here is chihuahua Boots.

His look changes a lot depending on his last haircut! His most recent pic, from this December, is of him in the red and black sweater.
