And now, a few words from me:

Hi.  I am Leta.  People tell me I am a beautiful, gentle girl.  I spent my first three years as a mill dog and I am ready to embark on a new life and  become a member of someone's family.  I am going to need some patience from you and your help in learning some basic things, as a lot of things are so new to me.  But, what I do know is how excited I get when I see people, and how great it is to have someone to cuddle up with.

And now, a few words from my foster dad:

Leta is a terrific dog.  She is in a houseful of dogs right now and gets along with all of them.  She is learning about toys and balls, and seems to enjoy them so far.  Dog beds are a new to her, and she loves them.  She loves to be close and keep an eye on her humans. 

She is still a bit careful around people at first but once she gets to know you, she loves to be touched and cuddled.  She dances for joy when she first sees us each morning.  She is still figuring out house training, but is working on it. 

She is not a fan of the leash.  As that will need some work, a fenced back yard is essential.  She does like a good run to burn off some energy, but is not overly demanding for exercise.  Once she figures out the leash issue, she would likely make a good running partner.

She is not keen on being left alone.  She will need a bit of help learning that she is ok to be left without human company.
